Hunted

Hunted (Brides of the Kindred, #2)Hunted by Evangeline Anderson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I'm really really really starting to get into Evangeline Anderson's series. I loved the first book, and where this one started out slow, it picked up, and has me on the edge of my seat for the next one.

This is Sophie and Sylvan's book. Sophie had some pretty heavy stuff happen to her in the past that leads her to be afraid of Sylvan, and of Sylvan's fangs. The first part of the book, after Sylvan's shuttle crashes while trying to get Sophie back to Earth after the mating ceremony was kind of slow for me. I mean, we get a lot of back story on the two characters, which is nice, and some pretty hot scenes between Sylvan and Sophie, but other than that, this part of the book is pretty bland.

It isn't, in my opinion, until after Sylvan and Sophie find their way back from this disaster that the book starts getting good. Sylvan starts distancing himself from Sophie, and Sophie doesn't know how to feel about it. Plus, the Scourge seem to think that Sophie is the fulfillment to their prophecy, so, they're gunning for her as well.

All in all, this book was written really well, and about half way through, picked up to the point that I couldn't put it down. If you decide to pick this book up, be sure to read the first one first, and stick with it, even though it may get slow with times. In this book, we get further glimpses at Kat, Deep, and Lock, who are the subjects of Ms. Anderson's next book, which I can't wait to read. This book kind of ends on a cliffhanger that starts the next book, so, have it ready.

As always, Ms. Anderson's scenes are scorching hot, and if you're not alone, and able to relieve some of your tension, you may find yourself very frustrated while reading this book. I will also warn that Ms. Anderson covers a pretty heavy subject in this book, which she does give a disclaimer about in the start. DO NOT SKIP THE DISCLAIMER!

This book is wonderful, and anyone who picks it up won't be sorry! I can't wait to continue this wonderful series! :)
